  1. Are you a member of a Professional Body?

Yes, I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists. This means I have been trained to the highest standard and have a code of ethics that I must abide to, it also ensures I have the correct insurance and committed to continuing professional development.

  1. Who did you train with?

I trained with the Complementary Therapy School which is the only UK private training provider to offer a credit rated university training course.

  1. What does a treatment involve?

A treatment lasts for 1 hour and the initial session will be slightly longer to allow for a health and lifestyle consultation to take place. This will help me to tailor the treatment for optimum health results. A consent form is signed and all the information given is strictly confidential.

The treatment is non-invasive and the client will be either lying on a couch or in a reclined seated position with bare feet. I will then apply gentle pressure with my thumbs, fingers and hands on the reflexes in the feet. Areas corresponding to parts of the body which are out of balance may feel uncomfortable or tender. The sensitivity of the feet varies from person to person but should not be uncomfortable.

After the treatment a short discussion about what imbalances have been felt will take place and some aftercare advice to help the client continue their journey of well being.

Overall, the treatment should be deeply relaxing and after a few treatments most people experience a sense of well being and balance.

  1. Are you able to tell me what is wrong with me?

A reflexologist cannot diagnose, cure or prescribe. If you have any concerns about your health you should always consult with a medical professional.
